I found this site, greenbiz.com while researching opportunities for my own business. They actually have a good weekly newsletter that highlights REAL news that you would actually be interested in reading. I read three articles from it AND clicked a link. You know you have a good email when people actually want to read more. They have news articles that highlight both the good and bad Green deeds of larger sized businesses.
I started receiving their weekly email after downloading their 'State of Green Business Report'. I believe you have to fill out a little form before you can download it. I'm going to read it and maybe we can discuss! Let me know if you get to it before I do!

Sustainable Printing-At Last!

While browsing the Sustainable Pittsburgh web site, I happened upon an article announcing the formation of the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP). This partnership is the culmination of a group of associations. According to their press release,

"The Board of Directors of the Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (PIA/GATF) passed a major Key Initiative concerning sustainability during its last Board Meeting. As a result, PIA/GATF has joined with the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) and the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) to form one central location for information on sustainable, “green” printing activities."

That's a lot of acronyms! But it means that we, as a society, are starting to man (or woman) up and get things done about the things that matter. The SGP is launching this month and you can be sure that I'll be following their accomplishments.

They are currently making guidelines for printers to join, so if you are a printer, you can follow their progress on their website.
